Are you looking to take your fly fishing addiction to the next level by learning how to tie your own flies? Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned angler, tying flies is a great way to pass the time, save money and challenge yourself. Similar to catching your first fish on a fly rod, catching a fish on a fly that you tied is exciting and rewarding. So if you’re looking to give fly tying a try or already know how to tie a few flies, we invite you to come, drink some beer and tie flies with us at Woods Boss Brewing. We will provide step-by-step instruction for three popular flies. While we hope everyone walks away with a handful of flies, our main objective is to raise funds for The Mayfly Project.

The Mayfly Project is a non-profit with a mission to build relationships with children in foster care through fly fishing and introduce them to their local water ecosystems, with a hope that connecting them to a rewarding hobby will provide an opportunity for foster children to have fun, feel supported, and develop a meaningful connection with the outdoors. We’ve been involved with The Mayfly Project for the past year and have nothing but great things to say about the organization and the impact it has on foster children.
